Restaurant Business

Situation

I had the opportunity to work with a newly opened café in Garia; the area is already packed with well-established cafés. Despite having a cozy vibe and a great menu, they were struggling to attract customers.

Challenges

The biggest hurdle? Visibility. The café was getting lost in the noise of local competition. It lacked a distinct identity, and most people in the area didn’t even know it existed. The owner needed more than just marketing — they needed a strategic push to stand out.

Task

My goal was to create a unique identity from other competitors, get people talking about the cafe and most importantly getting dine in orders. But not through generic promotions, I wanted the café to have its own unique identical presence.

Action

To create a different identity, I first tried to understand the uniqueness about the café from its theme, ambiance, and menu. From that, I helped them carve out a unique selling proposition (USP) that we could build around. From there, I took a three-pronged approach:

Localize Audience Based Targeting – We launched engaging awareness campaigns on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, targeting the local audience with creative content that reflected the café’s vibe.
Local SEO – I optimized their Google My Business (GMB) profile with compelling photos, keyword-rich descriptions, and regular posts — so people nearby could easily discover and trust them.
Created Event Based Campaigns – Since it was February — the month of love — we decided to capitalize on Valentine’s Day. We created a fun, couple-based quiz contest online, and participants received exclusive discount coupons for in-café dining.

Result

As a result, the campaigns ran successfully with a good hit!
✅ Significant boost in reach and engagement on social platforms
✅ More importantly, customers started walking in. The café began receiving dine-in bookings
✅ The café started gaining traction locally their GMB profile soared in visibility. Within weeks,
they were ranked as one of the best cafés in Garia with a good rating on Google Maps.
